Limerick Animal Welfare Launches a Blog

Limerick Animal Welfare – These are great guys – they have even launched a blog! – welcome to the blogosphere !

Limerick Animal Welfare was founded in 1983 to care for unwanted and abandoned animals in the Limerick area. We have rescued, rehabilitated and rehomed many thousands of neglected cats and dogs. We are so proud that after almost a quarter century in operation, our charity continues to flourish. We feel there are two keys to our success. We have an amazing group of hard-working volunteers, who give so freely of their time and energies for the sake of the animals. We also owe an enormous debt of gratitude to the people of Limerick, who have supported us unstintingly over the years.

  1. This is my first time EVER trying to blog and I don’t know if I’m doing it right, or even if I am in the right place. Is this the Lmerick Animal Welfare blog? Because I’m looking for animal-lovers to tell them about two exciting charity challenges in aid of the only donkey rescue centre in the north-west of Ireland!

The Sai Sanctuary for Donkeys, which is the only rescue centre for donkeys, horses, ponies and mules in the wider north-west region, is looking for 20 people to participate in their Achill 2-Peaks Challenge on 21 & 21 September. This entails climbing the two highest peaks on the island and promises to be a fabulous weekend away. In addition, another 20 men and women are wanted to take part in a very exciting one-day “Anyone Can Abseil” Adventure Challenge, which takes place in the mountains of Sligo on Sunday, 28 September. These are genuinely challenging physical activities with a very achievable fundraising target. Anyone over the age of 18 and a reasonable level of fitness can take part; and some hill-walking experience would be an advantage. For more information or a sponsorship pack, call (087) 6655 490 today, as places are strictly limited. You will have a great experience, shared with other animal-lovers, and you’ll make new friends along the way. And, as a bonus, you’ll get the feel-good factor that comes from knowing that you’ve made a real difference to animals in distress! That number again, for your sponsorship pack, (087) 6655 490. Or email me, Ainki the South African voluntary events co-ordinator on – yeha!
