Wordpress 2.07

It seems like yesterday that bloggers using Wordpress, ( the content management system for blogs – for those sitting in the dark with a burned out candle) were told to upgrade to version 2.06, well actually it was only ten days ago and now we have 2.07, I won’t complain, you all know my fondness for Wordpress.

However it is a bit annoying that people have to go and update their wordpress package again, but it clearly demonstrates Wordpress/PHP dedication to security. I don’t claim to know what they are on about when they talk about what the problems are, I just know it works. And we are promised some cool new features in a few days with Wordpress 2.1 which will be the next version of Wordpress, however Wordpress say “the 2.0 branch of WordPress will continue to be maintained for several years.”. And the good news is there is only a small batch of files that need to be upgraded since 2.06
