Ch-Changes

I have decided to stay in Dublin (pending approval from my department currently) which means, my transfer to Limerick won’t happen (obviously). This decision on my part like many of my life changing decisions usually get debated about in my head for weeks, but are enacted so fast I wonder if I really did it, and then question the motive behind the action. So I am going to write here about why I did it (summary), excluding work related reasons, it’s my policy not to write about my work.

  • Number one reason I guess is, I have decided to give Dublin a chance, although I have been here about six months already going on seven at this stage, I have yet to properly go out in Dublin to explore and meet new people, although I do have a few odd friends, the fact that I go to Limerick most weekends means that when in Dublin, I just work. So that is changing gradually, and although I found and still find many aspects of living in the city daunting I will plough on. I really miss walking/jogging in the wilds of Tipperary with the dog (and our wild cat shadowing us from a distance)
  • Two – new friends’ and new things to do, - self explanatory
  • Three – personal life – and again I wont write about that on here – too boring and private
  • That’s it really – but it’s enough, my family and friends are peeved off a bit about me not coming home – but there you are.
