The Last Day of Summer in Tipperary

The Last Day of Summer ended with Tipperary hearing pianos crashing out of sky scraper windows or as a colleague of mine put it so elegantly ” The Gods are pi**sed” (Thunder and Lightening to the rest of us), which is so fitting, when you consider the wet variable summer we had this year, and many years previously.
Browsing through the papers today I noticed that the rumours are still being floated about Ireland’s newsiest millionaire  Dolores McNamara. The star Reports

“…the Euro Millions winner had split from her husband Adrian (50) in 1992 and that he was to launch a legal battle to secure half of her Eur115m fortune. But Pat Power, a close family friend and advisor to the Limerick woman, said the couple have not split. “There’s no truth in that whatsoever,” he said emphatically. “They’re living together in the same house and you can quote me on that. “I don’t know where that story came from, it’s unbelievable.”

Its a shame that the newspapers can’t work on some more interesting stories, although I am to blame with my newspaper selection I guess.
