O’Connell Street Limerick to be pedestrianised
I love how Limerick City is turning out, Bedford Row looks really well, all it needs are a few good shops, but they already have a killer cafe and there is some construction going on, on some new building there. However, is it possible that they are now going too far, see below. From my understanding of the city this is a small area, is it really justified?
Also, I am sad to hear that Java’s is going to be leveled make way for a car park, is this true?
THE City Council is now planning to pedestrianise part of O’Connell Street following the success of Bedford Row and Thomas Street.
This has been confirmed by Pat Dromey director of transport with Limerick Corporation. He said plans are now underway for the pedestrianisation of O’Connell Street from the junction at William Street as far as Roches Street.
