Crafting A Plan B For this recession
Was listening to RTE Choice this morning which led me to a website – it is American focused but has some interesting notes to make with the recession in mind. The points are a little obvious to most, but re-read them when you are feeling gloomy. And as the second link below suggests – take a walk (not through the city centre – but in the country, and away from cliffs)
Some tips for dealing with financial stress:
- Don’t get caught up in the doom-and-gloom hype.
- Make a financial plan to reduce expenses and manage finances more efficiently.
- Recognize a spike in unhealthy behaviors such as smoking, drinking, gambling or emotional eating.
- Seek out healthier ways to deal with stress like talking a walk, having a family dinner or learning a new skill.
- Consult a financial planner or credit counsellor if you need help managing your finances.
