Wibble and Wobble

Ahh would you look! You’d want to have a heart of stone not to want these two, I’d take them in a second if I had the space.

Wibble and Wobble are best friends who were rescued from the streets together. Wibble is a beautiful young tabby male boy and Wobble is a very pretty black girl. They are both only six or seven months old. White Dublin

There was something odd about Dublin this morning. Everyone was operating in slow motion. People who walked to work, started out at their usual rushed pace, but quickly realised speed is not the way this morning, and reduced to a cautious ice-avoidance dance.

I figured out fast it is safer - for where I live, to walk on the road and avoid the footpath completely. It was the first day back at work for a lot of people. Very few were without gloves, many had a hot coffee with both hands clasped around the paper cup. Of course it has been like this for the past while, but I had the joy of not stepping out in it.

By the way, if we have had a very cold and icy winter does that mean we can have a wonderful warm summer also? I tweeted the above pictures this morning. Dublin looks great in white, but it is a very cautious white indeed!

Manchester Great Run 2009

My brother took part (again) in the Manchester Great Run, he ran once again for a charity and raised a nice bit of dosh for them. Grats! And I promise to take part some time in the near future. I’ve not heard of Schmap before, but they have asked for one of my flickr photos to be included in their Dublin Guide, while it is nice to be asked something like this I would question the reasoning for selecting this photo, but I imagine, there is method to their madness.

Vodafone Advertising

I recently, and as I often do, sent a picture to the wonderfully cool flickr tool, using my motorola vodafone Phone, however Vodafone sent an additional image and information that included my phone number to the website, which of course was published on the internet!

I am really pissed off about this, I don’t mind the ad too much, as we are all getting used to being spammed to hell, but putting my phone number on the end is just too much! So I mailed them about it.

To be fair to Vodafone Ireland, I have always found them very helpful and great mobile phone provider, but this boiled my blood a bit too much…

I noticed that you have started sending advertisements with MMS Picture messages, this is surly not permitted!

I use my phone to send picture messages to my website. However today I noticed that you have also sent an ad, which INCLUDED MY PHONE NUMBER.

What I am most annoyed with is the fact you sent my phone number with this MMS, and also you sent an additional promotional image. I would have appreciated it if you advised me you were doing this!
