A Children of Artemis volunteer phoned the Carshalton Environment Fair to enquire about a stall. They were very helpful until the word Witchcraft was mentioned. The conversation changed dramatically, with the fair organiser saying they didn't allow Witches to have stalls at their event. One of the CoA media team then phoned the organisation that runs the event to ensure this was official policy. Friday, 14 May, 2004Iraq abuse photos are fakeThis refers to the photos published by The Daily Mirror, there are of course real photos (if you watch the news or have a pulse you will of course know this) This is in my opinion, a sad state of affairs, why can (and I use this term loosely) "newspapers" be allowed to do this. It has, it would seem come to the stage, where newspapers make up the news, because it will of course give it a better story. Its a shame they chose such a serious topic... Wednesday, 21 April, 2004Sky News Ireland to launch 10 MaySky Television, is about to broadcast from Ireland, although the channel can be seen here for at least the past 10 years, its content was primarily UK based, now it is evolving to incorporate Ireland. It will host is own Irish based news programmes, Featuring well know and popular Irish broadcasters. Skys publicity website says "From Monday, 10 May 2004, Sky News Ireland will broadcast twice-nightly bulletins at 7pm and 10pm. Wednesday, 7 April, 2004G-MailThis is interesting G-Mail. Its an impressive inbox, a free one as far as i can tell (still in beta development), this inbox only seems to have text adds, so no slow loading, but get this "1000 megabytes of free storage so you'll never need to delete another message". This is something i will sign up for, and its from the "No fancy smancy, images company" Google, which i use almost daily.
