In other less interesting news: And it seem’ s that the British News Channel Sky News (which of course broadcasts to us here in Ireland) has “stolen”, broadcasters and reporters from TV3 Ireland, RTE Television, and TG4. This comes as a move, to grab viewers for the new Irish themed news program to broadcast on sky news channel 501 at about 9 and 11 pm. This would be in direct competition with RTE and TV3s news program. Its about time they had some more competition. Personally I will watch the first episode and then turn back to RTE!

And… In the UK: “Plans have been unveiled to create a new national police force modelled on the FBI.
The Serious Organised Crime Agency will tackle organised gangs who control the trade in drugs and illegal immigrants.More than 5,500 staff from four government bodies will merge in the biggest shake-up in policing in England and Wales for 40 years.
Home Secretary David Blunkett said the agency would also target fraudsters who see themselves as “untouchables”.”
